Whether it’s a car or a movie about stealing one, advertisers have just one goal: make it memorable. So their agencies and the creative professionals that serve them—including filmmakers, directors, directors of photography, editors, and producers—turn to Technicolor.

That’s because we offer the perfect blend of world-class talent and leading post production tools. From Los Angeles, New York, and Montreal to London, Rome, and Singapore, we’re at the doorstep of the world’s biggest advertisers. And we have some of the most in-demand talent, from colorists and editors to visual effects creators. In 2002, the director David Fincher (Panic Room, Fight Club, and Seven), called on our premier colorists to help perfect his ads for Addidas and Nike.

We also provide creative services for the high-profile, big budget television campaigns, including Coke, American Express, Lowes, Miller Brewing and BMW. For instance, we provided 2K conforming, finishing, and visual effects for the groundbreaking BMWFILMS.com campaign that used short films by well-known directors to drive traffic to a special Web site.

Since December 2004, the London-based Moving Picture Company (MPC) has been affiliated with Technicolor. MPC has long been recognized for producing high-end content for many world-leading advertisers, including Nike, Levi Strauss & Co. and Coke and more recently Audi and Volkswagen. It also provides visual effects and post production services for music, television and film. Some of its recent feature titles include Kingdom of Heaven, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the Harry Potter films, Troy and Alien vs. Predator.

Technicolor also helps create memorable advertising for films—inside and outside of the theater. Our editors, colorists, and visual effects teams work on more than 150 movie trailers every year—not to mention TV ads for movies, including Spider Man and MIB2. We even created a direct marketing video campaign for Petsmart to give customers a visual tour of their stores.

Today, Technicolor is making a significant investment in expanding the scope of our services to the advertising production community. Our new digital post production facility in New York’s Greenwich Village is staffed by veteran post production professionals who have been servicing the needs of the TV commercial marketplace for years—and who have an unrivaled set of technologies at their fingertips.

In addition to nine post production suites and a newly appointed screening room, the New York facility includes state-of-the-art tools for telecine; film scanning and recording; digital color correction; nonlinear resolution-independent conforming and finishing for high-definition, digital intermediate, and digital cinema projects; media management; and, digital projection. It also features in-house tools developed by our well-established West Coast and worldwide post facilities for agencies, their clients, and their production companies.
