What is C-TPAT?
Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) is a program developed by the United States Customs Service as a result of growing concerns by government and business of the growing threat of terrorist activity involving the movement of freight into the U.S. The program enables participating members to obtain expedited clearance of their cargo by reducing the number of cargo inspections and requests for information at the time of Customs entry. To become a certified member, Technicolor demonstrated that we have developed acceptable security procedures throughout our supply chain. Importers who are not C-TPAT members may have their shipments subject to long delays in customs clearance because of the extra scrutiny and inspections that their shipments will undergo. The program ensures that supply chain security requirements are met by establishing goals of continuous improvement of security programs by every entity within Technicolor's supply chain. What does C-TPAT mean to our Vendors and Service Providers?
Vendors and service providers to Technicolor, who are involved in the manufacturing or shipment of products from countries outside of the United States, will be requested to provide information regarding the security programs and systems that are practiced within their company. Additionally, vendors and service providers will be requested to participate in a program to enhance security practices as is required by the C-TPAT goal of continuous improvement of security programs. The Technicolor Home Entertainment Services (HES) supply chain security policy, which defines the security requirements of those vendors and service providers who are involved in the manufacturing and shipment of products from countries outside of the United states, can be opened using the following link:
