Technicolor Supports Top Films at U.S. Box Office
Continuing its support of major theatrical releases, Technicolor provided both release printing and home video mastering services for last weekend's number two film, Lionsgate's Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns.
Technicolor facilities also supported other top films at the U.S. box office, including Disney’s College Road Trip and Warner Bros.' 10,000 B.C. Technicolor affiliate, the Moving Picture Company (MPC), created many of the visual effects for 10,000 B.C., a film about a band of people struggling to survive amid woolly mammoths, saber-toothed tigers and human marauders. MPC’s two main scenes were the Mammoth Hunt sequence and the Giza environment, for which its team created the fully computer-generated mammoths and the 3D Giza environment.
