More Theatres Go Digital with Technicolor

Technicolor Digital Cinema has announced several deals to provide theatres with digital projection systems.

An agreement with the ArcLight Cinemas in Hollywood includes ArcLight’s Cinerama Dome, home to many red-carpet movie premieres. Technicolor also announced agreements with Cineplex Entertainment’s Scotiabank Theatre in Toronto, Canada, with Marcus Theatres’ Cinema at the Renaissance 13-plex in Sturtevant, Wisconsin.

Each theatre installation will feature Technicolor’s fully integrated networked systems, which includes a satellite system for content delivery and the Technicolor Theatre Management System (TMS). The Technicolor TMS is a software solution that enables exhibitors to control theatre automation and manage all content such as trailers, ads and features with simple drag-and-drop technology. The digital cinema systems are supported by Technicolor’s maintenance services with 24/7 remote monitoring.
