Ahmad Ouri
Chief Marketing Officer
Ahmad Ouri serves as Chief Marketing Officer reporting directly to Thomson CEO, Frederic Rose.
He is responsible for the company’s world-leading, state-of-the-art preproduction, production and post postproduction services to major Hollywood film studios, independent filmmakers, cable and television networks, and commercial advertisers.
He is also responsible for the overall marketing, branding and external and internal communications strategy, based out of the company’s North American headquarters in Hollywood, California.
Ahmad joined Thomson in 2002 and first held the position of president of Technicolor Digital Cinema, where he oversaw the planning and execution of agreements for the company’s digital cinema rollout plan. He was then moved into the role of Chief Technology Officer for Technicolor, where he was accountable for defining strategy and managing advanced technology relationships with Hollywood studios and other content owners as it relates to content distribution, content security, digital cinema, and high-definition optical disc. In 2006, Ahmad was appointed to serve as president of the Technicolor Content Services business unit, overseeing all the pre-production, production, post-production and distribution services to the broadcast, cable, film, advertising and ancillary home video and DVD markets. Most recently, he was president of Technicolor’s strategy, technology and marketing operations.
Before joining Thomson, Ahmad was vice president and general manager of Philips Electronics’ digital video server division, supplying storage and asset management software products to broadcasters.
Ahmad holds two Bachelor of Science degrees in electrical engineering and mathematics, and two Masters Degrees in engineering (instrumentation) and business (MBA) from the University of Utah.
