Short Bio:

Brian Eriksson is the technical area lead at the Technicolor Research A.I. Lab, managing a group of researchers, data scientists, and engineers. This group develops new solutions and academic research in the areas of deep learning, optimization, ubiquitous computing, and statistical machine learning. His focus is on directing projects and technology strategy for this team, in addition to maintaining a research agenda centering around large-scale machine learning.  Previously, he led a multinational team in the area of data analytics from 2014-2016 and was a research scientist from 2012-2014. Before that, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at Boston University (Department of Computer Science) from 2010-2012 and received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in Electrical Engineering in 2010.
