Dror’s story

Dror Mohar is a supervising sound editor and re-recording mixer at Technicolor Hollywood.

Dror grew up in Kenya, then worked in sound in the music industry in New York City for artists like Guns N’ Roses and Bjork, and eventually moved to LA and into re-recording and sound design for feature films. 

Since starting in the industry, Dror has worked on over 40 major motion pictures, including Django Unchained, Robin Hood, Source Code, Divergent, Warcraft, and director Peter Berg’s acclaimed films Lone Survivor, Deepwater Horizon, and the upcoming Patriot’s Day starring Mark Wahlberg. He is a five time Golden Reel award nominee.

Dror also provided sound design for video games from hit franchises like Metal Gear Solid, Fable, and DJ Hero.

When he’s working, Dror loves to push the envelope to not only meet the ambitions of the filmmakers but to go further together to new creative places beyond. The creative process is always fun, fulfilling, and collaborative for Dror and he’s honored and privileged to work with passionate filmmakers who tell powerful stories.
