Technicolor elected chair to the German TV-Plattform working group on 3DTV

Dietrich Westerkamp, Director of Standards within the CTO Office, was recently appointed the chair to the German TV-Plattform working group on 3DTV.  This new working group addresses the trend of stereoscopic 3D in Germany due to the boom of 3D motion picture films and its transition to the home.  One of the goals of the working group is to introduce uniform standards for all market partners.  The German TV-Plattform was established in 1990 to address new television technologies and advanced innovative technology in open standards.
