Software Operations Engineer
The Software Operations Engineer will be responsible for providing the operational support of services required by Production.
Specifically responsibilities include:

Facilitating incident response activities to minimize production impact.

Gathering and analyzing uptime data to evaluate service level compliance and drive service level agreements (SLAs).

Working with infrastructure and service engineers to build a platform capable of achieving the SLAs.

Working with developers to incorporate supportability and maintainability components in the applications delivered to Production.

Participating in the definition, implementation, and deployment of viability and performance metrics around the infrastructure, platform, and software to monitor overall system health to prevent incidents through early intervention or expedite root cause analysis.

Participating in the definition, implementation, and deployment of measures to prevent Production-visible incidents.
Qualifications:
-
Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Some experience in application quality, maintenance, and support.

Proficient in application software development and deployment methodologies.

Good understanding of UNIX file systems, Oracle database technology, local and wide-area networks, and Web services. Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager a plus.

Experience with the Java. Experience with Python a plus.

Capable of working on a team of diverse professionals from the various technology disciplines.

Ability to work in fast-paced environment with frequent changes in priorities.
