Technicolor participated to a panel session around 3D at MIP TV in Cannes, France.
Gary Donnan, Senior Vice President, Research & Innovation, participated to the session on the theme "3D focus 2010, the Breakthrough year" and presented how Technicolor develops new ways to immerse the content consumer and enhance their 3D experience: an example of developing technologies are research around the automatic creation of “Depth Maps” in 3D and in advanced, intuitive media discovery in the home. Around 400 people attended the session. Gary also introduced a "3D lunch" gathering about 80 participants, including customers and key players from the 3D sector. The conference took place on April 14 in the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France.
