Research & Innovation’s PhD student, Nicolas Le Scouarnec, received the best paper award at ICDCS’10 (IEEE International Conference on Distributed Computing Systems) for joint work with an IRISA PhD student and their two respective advisors from INRIA Rennes and Mary-Luc Champel (Technicolor Research & Innovation).
The awarded paper describes LT Network Code - a new kind of network coding that offers a low complexity decoding procedure and significantly broadens the application spectrum for network codes.
ICDCS is an A-ranked conference gathering both practitioners and theoricians working in the distributed system field. The conference was held in Genoa, Italy in June 2010. http://icdcs2010.cnit.it/
