IPv6 ReadyThe approaching IPv4 address pool depletion and recent interactions with our customers have shown us that our products need to be more than ready for IPv6, the next generation of internet technologies aiming to effectively support the ever-expanding Internet usage and functionality, and also address security concerns.

In this light, several MediaAccess Service Gateways have successfully passed the Gold standard IPv6 Ready accreditation from the first official test round. This thanks to Technicolor being thoroughly prepared to pass the full test suite for proper IPv6 routing functionality and interoperability in the network.

As a result of this positive interoperability testing we can now freely use the Gold IPv6 Ready logo for the following MediaAccess products: TG582n, TG587n v3, TG589vn v2, TG670, TG712, TG784, TG784n, TG784n v3, TG788vn, TG789vn and TG789vn v3… And it doesn’t just stop there: all legacy and new service gateways supported by software release 10.X and beyond will be supporting the IPv6 Ready logo!

By boasting official IPv6 Ready products, we ensure that our Digital Home enablers are compliant with a large set of network standards. Our main target is to introduce IPv6 as smoothly as possible in our customers’ networks. By providing in-depth knowledge of the networking stack, Technicolor can go the last mile in guiding our customers in their transition from IPv4 to IPv6.
