Meet Linda McCabe, Senior Digital Restoration Artist at Technicolor Montreal.

Linda joined Technicolor Montreal in August 2011. Before that, she spent 10 years using Revival restoration software for studios in Los Angeles. “When I arrived, the Restoration Department in Montreal had just purchased Revival software, so the transition was a smooth one for me,” she says. At Technicolor, her primary focus has been Projet Éléphant, a project to digitize and restore films produced in Quebec.

Restoration software is always improving, and Linda appreciates the stream of new programs released that enable better, faster restoration. She is excited to see new developments that will help her improve things that are currently impossible to correct digitally. After years of experience, Revival remains her favorite software.

In her free time, Linda likes being active: hiking with her dog, biking and playing Tennis. By the end of the year, she hopes to improve her French: as she says  “Learning French is one of the hardest things that I’ve ever done. Hopefully, my current read will help: Jules Verne’s 20 000 Lieues Sous Les Mers!

Linda’s recent credits for Technicolor include:

  • All Éléphant titles (Quebec films restoration project)
