Technicolor’s smart Ethernet gateways enable service providers to effortlessly deploy managed triple play services behind an Optical Network Terminal (ONT) or media converter. They are the ideal platform to enhance competitiveness, raise ARPU and increase user stickiness by introducing premium broadband applications and services.

A carrier-grade smart Ethernet gateway featuring one gigabit Ethernet WAN port, the TG389ac helps service providers respond to growing demand for bandwidth. Thanks to its powerful core and scalable service memory, the TG389ac enables true gigabit connectivity between LAN devices and the network.

The TG389ac is a perfect fit for:

  • Two-box fiber deployments with a separate ONT or media converter;
  • Fiber to the Building (FTTB) or Fiber to the MDU (multi-dwelling unit) (FTTM) via an Ethernet connection.

On the LAN side, the TG389ac includes, in addition to advanced Voice over IP (VoIP) functions, four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and next-gen dual-band concurrent IEEE 802.11ac and IEEE 802.11n Wi-Fi to stream data, including rich media content, anywhere in the home.

  • Ideal solution for gigabit speeds: 4 gigabit LAN ports deliver 1 Gbps bidirectional throughput
  • Wireless connectivity: Dual-band concurrent IEEE 802.11n 2.4 GHz (2x2) and 802.11ac 5 GHz (3x3) Wi-Fi interfaces
  • Advanced VoIP functions
  • Seamless media sharing (UPnP A/V and DLNA) including 2 USB 2.0 ports
  • Equipped with Homeware, Technicolor’s open, flexible gateway software stack
  • Customizable with Wi-Fi Doctor® and Wi-Fi Controller diagnostics and analytics tools (optional)
