Trevor White

On location Colorist

Meet Trevor White, on location colorist at Technicolor.

Legend has it that a snowstorm and an opportunity put Trevor White in the right place at the right time to launch his career in post-production.  Since that fateful moment, he has transitioned from working as a commercial dailies colorist, to working on features dailies, to data management, to on-set color correction and color corrected digital dailies.

While Trevor values commonsense as one of the key tools in his craft, he also appreciates the pragmatic, creative benefits of using Baselight and Resolve to help evolve on location dailies workflows.  He is looking forward to seeing more robust and mobile on-set dailies kits on the market.

Trevor draws artistic inspiration from Mother Nature, and, during his free time, enjoys photography, relaxation, shadow boxing and dinners at one of Montreal many fine restaurant’s, particularly Vertige.

Although his iPod is on a consistent shuffle, artists such as Damien Rice, Fink, Ellie Goulding and Lissie are always set to replay and repeat. While his favourite film is the less-than-tranquil, cinematic masterpiece Alien, his admiration for characters, such as Arnold Beckoff from Harvey Fierstein’s award-winning Torch Song Trilogy has helped mould him into the person he is today.

Trevor recent credits includes:

  • White House Down
  • Smurfs 2
  • Riddick
