  • AirTV L.L.C. partnered with Technicolor to simplify the user experience.
  • Technicolor delivered the AirTV Player, an Android TV device and the first AirTV product.
  • Technicolor manufactures more than 30 million video service delivery devices every year.

With all the new ways to watch and consume entertainment these days and the exciting expansion of content choices, simplifying the consumer experience has a new sense of urgency going into the new year. That’s the premise behind AirTV Player, the first product from AirTV L.L.C., delivered by Technicolor.

Debuting at CES 2017 in Las Vegas, AirTV Player is an Android TV streaming device with built-in advanced Wi-Fi capability. Coupled with the AirTV Adapter and an over-the-air (OTA) antenna, viewers get a seamless experience across popular live streaming services and video-on-demand (VoD) shows, fully integrated with access to free local OTA TV channels.

“Technicolor has over four years’ experience integrating Android technology into connected home devices,” according to Luis Martinez-Amago, President of Technicolor USA and the Connected Home North America division. “This enables AirTV to offer consumers a way to watch streaming and OTA channels without switching inputs.”

Making the experience even better, consumers can use the Sling TV OTT video service and access more than 2000 games and applications in the Google Play Store.

“Consumers are finding new ways to watch entertainment, and we are launching AirTV to deliver a simplified experience,” said Mitch Weinraub, AirTV managing director. “Technicolor delivered a superb 4K Android TV streaming device that unifies the viewing experience across live and on-demand services with access to thousands of entertainment choices.”

The AirTV Player is available now at AirTV.net.
