Jutra Awards: Technicolor Montreal celebrates Stéphane Bergeron and his team for Louis Cyr

Technicolor Montreal is proud to announce Stéphane Bergeron’s victory during La soirée des Jutra.

Technicolor Montreal is proud to announce Stéphane Bergeron’s victory during La soirée des Jutra held in Montreal on March 23rd 2014 for Best Overall Sound for the feature film Louis-Cyr: The Strongest Man in the World. Produced and distributed by Christal Films, Technicolor Montreal provided post production and distribution services for the award winning film. Directed by Daniel Roby, Louis Cyr: The Strongest Man in the World was the most popular movie in Quebec in 2013 with a huge box office performance of over $4 million.

Assisted by Isabelle Lussier, Stéphane Bergeron joined forces with Simon Poudrette and Martin Pinsonneault to master the sound mix of Louis Cyr. “It was a challenge to recreate a soundscape that illustrates the reality of the beginning of the 20th century. Working with Daniel Roby was a great experience because for him as a director sound is a very important component of the film.” points out Stéphane. It’s the second Jutra award for Technicolor’s re-recording mixer. The celebrated movie took home a total of nine awards including Best Film.
