Picture and Audio Post for Justin Bieber's BELIEVE

Believe, the much anticipated Justin Bieber documentary will open in theatres Christmas Day. The Jon M. Chu directed film details the pop star’s rise to fame and the media controversy that follows him. 

Technicolor worked with Dolphin Films providing numerous services for this film including on-set data management (Toronto concert shoot), dailies, final color correction, full sound post production, VFX, DCP and video mastering, versioning and distribution.

Stated Sarah Landman, VP Post Production at Dolphin Films and Executive Producer/Post Supervisor on Justin Bieber's BELIEVE, "we at Dolphin Entertainment have a long standing relationship with Technicolor and they have become a second family to us. When it came to Believe, we had a lot to get done in a short timeline and Technicolor made it happen!  Everyone who worked on this film, from DI to VFX to sound, did it with such passion - it was infectious and really made for an incredible post experience."

Final color correction was a combined effort by DI Colorists Michael Sowa in Hollywood and Mark Kueper in Toronto. Director Jon M. Chu set the look with Sowa and Kueper in Hollywood and supervised the remaining work back in Toronto.  The challenge of this film was to match the numerous different formats to give an authentic documentary look.

The sound mix took place over a five week schedule in Toronto’s Theatre One with Technicolor’s Re-Recording Mixers Cory Mandel and Frank Morrone. Technicolor Montreal supplied versioning services for the film while Technicolor Digital Cinema managed the theatrical release in Canada.
