Services for The Dictator

Director Larry Charles new theatrical feature starring Sasha Baron Cohen, for Paramount Pictures, opens May 16th across North America

The fish out of water tale was shot on locations including Spain, Morocco, and New York City.

Sasha Baron Cohen plays Admiral General Aladeen, a North African despot who comes to New York ostensibly to give a speech at the United Nations only to find himself having to create a new life for himself in Brooklyn.  Baron Cohen is supported by actors Anna Faris, Ben Kingsley, and John C. Reilly.

Larry Sher was the film’s cinematographer – a close friend of Technicolor’s and a rising-star amongst young directors of photography.  Mr. Charles and Baron Cohen were intimately involved in the film’s finishing touches, including color-grading by Jill Bogdanowicz, from her suite at Technicolor Hollywood.

Technicolor Hollywood also assisted in the second unit pick-ups processing the dailies. Our Marketing Services did multiple domestic and international trailers which were produced by Shaylee Dunn and Edited by Carl McKay for Technicolor.
