The Strain Season 2

Based on the best-selling trilogy by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan, The Strain tells the story of Dr. Goodweather, the head of the Centers for Disease Control Canary Team in New York City. He and his team are called upon to investigate a mysterious viral outbreak with hallmarks of an ancient and evil strain of vampirism. As season two unfolds, the transformation has begun. New York City is rapidly falling to an evil epidemic, and no one is coming to its rescue. Its citizens must fight or die.

Technicolor teams in Toronto continue to provide complete post services for this series, including on location services, dailies, and full picture and sound finishing. Mr. X is once again the lead VFX house for The Strain, continuing to create numerous digitally-created stingers and worms as well as a whole new cast of digital creatures that include a deteriorating Sardu and a throng of blind vampire children known as the “Feelers”. In total, Mr. X is working on over 1,000 shots across 13 episodes this season.
