Technicolor Companies Win ‘Company of the Year’ and more at CICLOPE, LIA, and SHOTS Awards

MPC and The Mill, Technicolor companies, take international festivals by storm with multiple awards across VFX, animation, and post-production.

  • At this year’s CICLOPE Festival, MPC was named VFX Company of the Year and took home two Gold and  one Bronze awards.
  • The Mill won Animation Company of the Year, a Grand Prix, and a Silver honor at CICLOPE.
  • At LIA, MPC won Post-Production Company of the Year, Europe; four Gold and a Bronze awards.
  • The Mill received 16 accolades across 9 categories, including Global Post-Production Company of the Year; Regional Post-Production Company of the Year, North America; and the Grand LIA.
  • At the shots Awards, The Mill was recognized as VFX Company of the Year for the second year in a row; while also winning a Bronze in the Music Video category
  • MPC took home Gold for Best Animation and Bronze for Interactive Campaign of the Year at the shots Awards.

MPC and The Mill, both members of Technicolor family of brands, have won multiple honors at two prestigious international festivals: CICLOPE in Berlin and the London International Awards (LIA), which convened in Las Vegas.

Dubbed the international festival of craft, CICLOPE celebrates the art of execution in moving images.

Following eight nominations across four categories, MPC won three of the one-eyed CICLOPE trophies, including the top accolade of VFX Company of the Year. MPC Film’s Sheldon Stopsack, VFX Supervisor, got the festival off to a start with a behind-the-scenes look at VFX craftsmanship as he discussed MPC’s visual effects work in Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

The Mill also had three wins at CICLOPE Festival, including the top prizes of Animation Company of the Year and a Grand Prix award.

The Mill and MPC were also big winners at the London International Awards (LIA), which recognizes creative excellence across 19 different media types, from Branded Entertainment and Design to Production and Post-Production.
