Technicolor Delivers Full Picture Post for Fargo Season 2

Fargo Season 2 Heats Up With Technicolor.

Season two of Fargo travels back to 1979 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Luverne, Minnesota, where a young state police officer, Lou Solverson recently back from Vietnam, investigates a case involving a local crime gang and a major mob syndicate.  Emmy Award-winning executive producers, Noah Hawley (showrunner/writer), Joel and Ethan Coen, Warren Littlefield, and John Cameron all return for the second installment.

Shot in Calgary, Alberta, Technicolor provides an array of services for this Emmy-winning series.  Technicolor’s on-location team for Fargo deployed units to Calgary, ensuring the filmmakers capture their intended work while also managing digital dailies and archiving of the recorded content.  Technicolor’s colorist, Mark Kueper, finished the show on a Lustre color grading system, working with Cinematographer Dana Gonzales to achieve the desired 1970’s period look.  The visual effects work is performed in parallel with Creative Director Kevin Chandoo leading the work on over 280 shots.

Fargo stars Patrick Wilson, Ted Danson, Jean Smart, and Kirsten Dunst and is produced by MGM Television and FX Productions.
