Technicolor Hosts Finale of ASC’s International Cinematography Symposium

HDR takes center stage at the final day of the ACS’ ICS

Technicolor hosted the final part of the American Society of Cinematographers’ (ASC) International Cinematography Symposium (ICS) in early June at their Hollywood headquarters where attendees had an opportunity to view demonstrations of Technicolor HDR technologies. The ASC ICS included approximately 80 representatives from foreign delegations representing most of the international heads of cinematography associations around the world — including the heads of IMAGO, the European Union's cinematographer associations, along with representatives from China, Scandinavia, Mexico, Australia, etc.

Technicolor's Josh Limor and Roy Stewart presented Technicolor's HDR ITM technology, as well as an overview of the company's technological perspective of the emerging home CE display market.  The company's Mike Most, Josh Berkowitz, and Joshua Pines presented the latest developments for dailies represented by Technicolor's award-winning DP Lights system — based on the company's proprietary technology. In addition, Technicolor's senior supervising finishing colorist, Steve Scott, showed his and Technicolor's work on the hit film The Revenant and The Jungle Book.
