“It’s really been an amazing experience to bring this film to Technicolor for our finishing,” said Matthew Kallis, director and producer of Most Valuable Players. “As a small independent guy, I was thrilled to work with some of the most talented post people in the world.”

Most Valuable Players was one of three documentaries recently acquired by The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), which will be part of the network's monthly Documentary Club. It will air on OWN Thursday, September 8th at 9:00 PM ET/PT.

“Technicolor is very much committed to providing creative services for high quality independently produced theatrical features and documentaries, such as ‘Most Valuable Players’,” said Claude Gagnon, president of Technicolor Creative Services. “We assembled a stellar team of some of the best talent in the industry to serve the filmmakers, on a budget that was scaled to the “indie” project.”

Most Valuable Players is a heart-felt, feature length documentary about high school musical theatre in the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania and western New Jersey that culminate at the region’s annual competitive Freddy Awards, a live television event honoring some incredibly talented performers.  The film also addresses how a local community bands together to support arts’ education in financially challenged times.
