Technicolor broad range of creative services provided to director Matthew Kallis

Paris (France) & Hollywood (California) – September 1, 2011 – Technicolor (Euronext Paris: TCH) Technicolor today announced the broadcast premiere of director Matthew Kallis’ award-winning theatrical documentary Most Valuable Players, on Oprah Winfrey Network’s Documentary Club, showing on September 8th.  The award-winning theatrical documentary has been broadly acknowledged as “the real world Glee,” and features a wide array of creative services provided by Technicolor including theatrical sound mixing; visual effects, editorial conform and finish color timing; broadcast and digital cinema mastering.

“It’s really been an amazing experience to bring this film to Technicolor for our finishing,” said Matthew Kallis, director and producer of Most Valuable Players. “As a small independent guy, I was thrilled to work with some of the most talented post people in the world.”
Most Valuable Players was one of three documentaries recently acquired by The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), which will be part of the network's monthly Documentary Club. It will air on OWN Thursday, September 8th at 9:00 PM ET/PT.

Most Valuable Players is a heart-felt, feature length documentary about high school musical theatre in the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania and western New Jersey that culminate at the region’s annual competitive Freddy Awards, a live television event honoring some incredibly talented performers.  The film also addresses how a local community bands together to support arts’ education in financially challenged times.
