Paris (France) – November 28, 2012 – Technicolor (Euronext Paris: TCH), through its Cirpack brand, announced today the successful deployment of its Session Border Controller (SBC) and softswitch for SIP interconnection between two network operators in Italy.
Cirpack effectively deployed their SBC and softswitch in a regional operator’s network, enabling the SIP interconnection with Italy’s primary, incumbent telecommunications provider. This new success reinforces Cirpack’s position as the partner of choice for Italian operators seeking to leverage network resources of the region’s leading provider.
Engineered to Italian operator standards, the Cirpack interconnection solution optimizes infrastructure while reducing operations costs. The SBC deployed at the edge of the network – as an interconnection element for SIP signaling and media – ensures the necessary security and routing features.
