Technicolor, through the Cirpack brand, now offers a small version of its Session Border Controller
Paris (France) – June 28, 2012 – Technicolor (Euronext Paris: TCH), through the Cirpack brand, now offers a small version of its Session Border Controller - the “Small SBC” - that delivers Multimedia & Interactive Communications Services while Securing IP Network of customers. Cirpack’ SBC product range fits now perfectly to customers’ needs, whatever the size and number of SIP sessions the Telecom operator is interested in.
Cirpack developed the new Small SBC for session requests below 1,000 (less than 10,000 users). The Small SBC is including Access, Interconnect and Media controllers in a single platform.
This new Cirpack Small SBC is available in three sub-categories:
Small SBC S250 with 250 sessions and 2,500 users
Small SBC S500 with 500 sessions and 5,000 users
Small SBC S1000 with 1,000 sessions and 10,000 users
Optionally, the Small SBC S500 and Small SBC S1000 are offering Transcoding functions.
Moreover, the entire SBC range is now Active-Standby redundancy enable.
The decomposed design of Cirpack’ SBC products and solutions delivers performance and scalability, seamless network growth and cost effectiveness. Thanks to the scalability of its SBC offer, Cirpack enable the operator to pay as it grows, reallocating existing hardware and purchasing new platforms only when needed.
