Technicolor Names Boris Teksler as Head of its Technology Business Segment

Technicolor announces that it has appointed Boris Teksler as President of its Technology Group which includes Intellectual Property & Licensing and the company’s world class Research & Innovation activities

Paris (France) – June 17th 2013  – Technicolor (Euronext Paris: TCH), a worldwide technology leader in the media and entertainment sector, announces that it has appointed Boris Teksler as President of its Technology Group which includes Intellectual Property & Licensing and the company’s world class Research & Innovation activities. He joins Technicolor’s Executive Committee and his appointment reinforces Technicolor’s commitment to create and deliver exciting new experiences for consumers in theaters, homes, and on-the-go, and pursue the exploitation of its IP assets.

Teksler, most recently spent four years at Apple as head of Patent Licensing & Strategy. Prior to Apple, he spent 16 years at Hewlett-Packard, most recently as a co-founder of HP’s Intellectual Property Licensing Business. He also held a variety of senior management roles in research & development, marketing and general management. As a 20-year veteran of Silicon Valley, he has acquired extensive experience in commercializing technologies and Intellectual Property. He holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Davis.

Following this appointment, Beatrix de Russé, who has headed Technicolor’s worldwide Intellectual property and licensing since February 2004, will be proposed as Observer to the Board, so that the company may continue to benefit from her competencies in technology and intellectual property.
