Paris (France) / CES Las Vegas, 7 January 2010 – Thomson/Technicolor (Euronext Paris: 18453; NYSE: TMS), a worldwide leader of services to content creators, will be showcasing its new line up of advanced set-top-boxes and gateways demonstrating its continued leadership and vision of tomorrow’s networked residential ecosystem at the 2010 International CES.

The world leader in customer premise equipment solutions, Thomson has developed an ecosystem of devices and applications that help network service providers integrate their video, voice and data offerings with consumer electronics and other residential services to deliver a cohesive, open digital media environment.

“Consumers are dictating the direction of digital services today, building elaborate home networks to gain access to premium content whenever, wherever and on whatever device they want. Thomson is arming our digital network operator customers with the tools they need to both meet subscriber demands for content freedom and significantly enhance their overall service package,” said Georges Laplanche, Senior Vice President, Connect Division, Thomson. “CES provides the ideal opportunity to experience these highly advanced, interactive digital home services before they’re launched by network operators in 2010.”

Leveraging Thomson’s wireless home Gateway Service Platforms, network service providers can offer their customers enriched communications, extended video experience, unleashed
digital lifestyle, automated home management services and managed digital content.

Accordingly, Thomson has divided their digital home experience at CES into these five important areas.  Some of the innovative services attendees will see include:

• Enriched Communications: Management of video communications, personalization of calling experience across different types of connected devices, and data synchronization between fixed and mobile communication devices

• Extended Video Experience:  Next-generation live and on-demand video experiences, made even more thrilling and interactive in 3D

• Unleashed Digital Lifestyle:  Allows direct infotainment accessibility as well as social networking enabling on any home device

• Automated Home Management:  Home energy tracking and room-by-room security monitoring via any screen in the consumer residence: TV, wireless tablet, and computer

Additionally, Thomson will be showing how their open-standards software networking platform makes it easy for operators to develop unique customer applications, integrate them with installed consumer premise equipment, and make accessible via the TV and other connected devices. Through Thomson’s web APIs and application software development kit (SDK), service providers can provision a variety of their own or third party apps and deliver over their network.
