James Ridgway
James’s career began in 2007, when he joined Technicolor as Sound Assistant and Foley Recordist whilst on placement year from the University of Surrey’s Tonmeister Course. Following university, he joined Boom Post Production, becoming the principal ADR Recordist on Game of Thrones and Black Sails, contributing to both of their Emmy Award winning soundtracks. As part of the re-recording team at Boom, he contributed to the sound of major TV series and features such as Netflix's "Black Mirror" and "The Imitation Game". Since re-joining Technicolor in 2017, his mixing credits have included "Endeavour", "His Dark Materials" and "Pure", which garnered him an RTS nomination for Best Sound - Drama.
Technicolor teams provided dailies as well as picture and sound finishing using Technicolor PULSE and TechStream to complete the series safely and remotely during the Covid-19 pandemic.
