When it comes to solving technical and creative challenges in the world of Digital Matte Painting (DMP), Jean-Philippe Marchand is one of the key artists that you would rely on.
A native of Montreal, Jean-Philippe graduated from College BART with a degree in 3D Animation and VFX. Jean-Philippe started his career at Mikros where he worked as a generalist for the Scene Setup and Assembly Department on the animated feature The Little Prince. In the 14 months that followed, he was promoted to Lead after his 4th month with the studio. He then joined Rodeo FX for 2 years before joining MPC in November of 2016. After working on over 30 feature films and TV shows such as Game of Thrones, Star Trek: Beyond and Ghost in the Shell, Jean-Philippe joined the MPC Academy as our in-house 3DDMP Learning Lead.

Jean-Philippe Marchand lives in Montreal with his girlfriend and their black Labrador.
