Film and Television were Alexander’s favorite escape from the harsh Minnesota winters. That same escape became his passion as he went on to study film editing and photography at Columbia College, Chicago, where he found color-grading to be the perfect amalgamation of his interests. In 2010, he started his career doing 16mm telecine transfers of student film dailies using an old-school DaVinci 8:8:8. He then escaped the harsh winters permanently, relocating to Los Angeles in 2011, landing a job as an assistant colorist at a boutique facility. He joined Technicolor in 2014 as an assistant for veteran colorist Sparkle, and after three years of extensive mentoring, was officially moved up to colorist in 2017.
