Armed with a BA in music production & engineering from Berklee College of Music, and after a roller coaster decade in the music industry working with the likes of Slayer, Love & Rockets and Aimee Mann, a chance meeting with an AFI student paved the way towards his ultimate passion: creating sound for moving pictures. The dynamic relationship between picture and sound and all of the opportunities it presents in moving story forward is what excites Andy. He believes, "movies have this wonderful ability to transport an audience to an unknown world, and deliver an emotional and/or intellectual experience that can resonate for days or for a lifetime." It is this purity of the art form that he strives to achieve in his collaborations with filmmakers.
He is honored to be working alongside so many talented artists including directors Adam Wingard, Dustin Lance Black, Sean Baker, Andrew Haigh and Drake Doremus, as well as the incredibly gifted sound supervisors, editors and mixers at Technicolor Sound.
