Doug Spilatro

Technicolor Los Angeles VFX Artists

Doug’s story

Doug joined Technicolor in 2013 to re-organize and re-launch the internal VFX department in Hollywood. He started his career as a Paintbox artist doing commercial work, then moved into compositing for feature films, broadcast and commercials. Doug has contributed to Oscar and Emmy-nominated projects, and has taken home Clio, Emmy, AICP, Monitor, London Film, and N.Y. Film awards.

Doug is thrilled that Technicolor’s agreement with Autodesk allows the team to constantly use the latest and greatest software for grading and compositing. Ansel Adams, Alfred Hitchcock, Claude Monet and Georges Seurat are a few of Doug’s artistic influences.

Technicolor’s own Steve Scott advised Doug to “move to LA as soon as you can!” and Doug has been making cinematic magic ever since.
