Short Bio:

I have received the Dipl.-Ing. degree from the ENST Bretagne and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of Rennes I (INRIA labs) in 1991.

After 2 years in a software and computing services company, I joined Thomson in 1994. From 1994 to 2000, I have participated as research engineer to several projects related to video encoding algorithms and the development of a digital satellite set-top-box. From 2000 to 2011, I have led several research projects in link with standardization: MPEG-4 AVC, MPEG-4 SVC, HEVC. From 2011 to 2013, I have been with Canon Research, where I have actively participated to the HEVC standardization activities. I am now working in Technicolor as leader of a research team focusing on video formats and coding.
