We just setup a new group, called Open Research Group, to focus on exploratory research and investigate new ways to perform research (inc. open research).
Julien Fleureau is Senior Scientist at Technicolor R&I (France) in the Media Computing laboratory. He received engineering and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering and computer science from the Ecole Centrale de Nantes (France) in 2005, and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Rennes (France) in 2008. His Ph.D studies in image processing and biomedical modeling were crowned by a 2 year post doctoral fellowship at the Laboratoire de Traitement du Signal et de l’Image (INSERM, France). His main research interests are signal processing, datamining and machine learning applied to biological signals analysis.
Signal and Image Processing, Datamining and Machine Learning, Bayesian Framework, Artificial Intelligence, Human Perception, Human-Machine Interfaces.
I am currently involved in different exploratory research projects of the Technicolor company including emotion detection from biological signals (GSR, EMG, EEG, PPG, …), gaze contingent interactions and audiovisual experience enhancement using haptics stimulation.
