Michel Morvan is currently Lab manager for Content Platforms and Security Lab.

Engineer in Electronics and Telecommunications, he started his career in Gemplus company from 1996 to 2000 developing SIM cards Operating Systems for mobile devices. During this period, he contributed to the OMA standardization bodies in the security and smartcard groups. From 2000 to 2007, he worked for Mitsubishi R&D France in Rennes where he managed the Security team and coordinated the software developments for the new range of mobile handsets products, from modem stack, OS, Multimedia, up to User Interface.

He joined Thomson R&D France in 2007 as project manager in the Security and Content Protection Labs based in Rennes. He led the Security Engineering activities proposing SmartPro technologies to business and several innovative works on OS protections that helped  to improve Set-top boxes and gateways security. After taking the responsibility of the Security and Content Protection Lab, Michel is now the lab manager for the Content Platform and Security lab. The lab focuses on IP creation, standardization, and proposes innovative solutions or products to Technicolor BUs or even external customers. It encompasses the three following activities: Security & Content Protection, Content management & User Experience, Advanced Television Systems.

With a technical backgroup in security and a good experience in project and team management, Michel likes to include new activity domains and to manage people to reach ambitious goals.
