The 23rd edition of the British Film Festival of Dinard will take place on October 3-7, 2012 in Dinard, France. Technicolor is the official patron of the festival this year and “Le prix de l’image” award will be presented by Gary Donnan, EVP Technology & Research.
During the festival, Technicolor will showcase its innovations in entertainment technologies for professionals and film amateurs who will be able to attend 3 workshops:
- "3D MasterClass" by Pete Routhier and Thierry Borel
- Technologies for measuring spectators’ emotions, by Cristina Gomila and Julien Fleureau
- Creation of visual effects, by Alexandra Added
On October 4th, the Technicolor Foundation for Cinema Heritage will also hold for the first time in France a screening of Peter Brook’s restored film Tell me Lies (1968).
True to its original objectives, British Film Festival of Dinard has become a vector for all the films aiming to conquer the European market.
The festival is also a launching-place for previews and we can say that it had flair in programming previews of films which have all received an award in Dinard : Shallow Grave (1994), The Full Monty (1997), Billy Elliot (2000), Bloody Sunday (2002) or Girl with a Pearl Earring (2003). What a great reward for our event that offers film enthusiasts the opportunity to discover original works.
