The European, Middle Eastern, and Africa (EMEA) region is undergoing a dramatic transformation as consumers demand more content and higher quality experiences – on any device, anywhere, at any time. As a result, new pressures—and new opportunities—are being generated for communications services providers (CSPs) across the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, according to Mercedes Pastor, President of Technicolor Connected Home EMEA.
“This is leading to a big transformation of the carrier community in the region. To differentiate their offerings, providers are evolving into more service-oriented approaches in which video is the key component,” says Pastor.
These technology trends are colliding with a competitive landscape. The challenge posed by over-the-top (OTT) players – and the increasing demand of video with other technologies and channels – are forcing service providers to be more innovative and more agile.
Technicolor is demonstrating a wide array of technologies addressed by Pastor at its technology venue during the IBC 2016 conference in Amsterdam September 9 – September 14, 2016. Read the full Q&A and learn about Technicolor's view on the entertainment technology marketplace.
