Successful certification of new cable gateways

Technicolor is introducing worthy successors of our best-selling cable gateway MediaAccess TC7200, capable of delivering gigabit speeds.

To follow up on the success of our best-selling cable gateway MediaAccess TC7200, Technicolor is already developing worthy successors capable of delivering gigabit speeds to subscribers. We are proud to introduce the MediaAccess TC7210 and TC7230, two wireless voice cable gateways ready to provide a best in class wired and wireless Internet experience everywhere in the home!

Both gateways have already been recognized for their excellent wireless and wired performance by Wi-Fi Alliance and CableLabs:

  • The TC7210 sporting 16 downstreams by 4 upstreams and next gen dual band .11ac Wi-Fi, already got EuroDOCSIS 3.0 and EuroPacketCable 1.5 certified by Cable Labs last October. Since end of June, it is also officially Wi-Fi 802.11ac & WMM-Power Save certified;

  • The TC7230 featuring even more downstream and upstream channels, resp. 24x8, and also next gen dual band .11ac Wi-Fi, was the first cable gateway in its class to get EuroDOCSIS 3.0 and EuroPacketCable 1.5 certification from CableLabs mid June. Wi-Fi Alliance certification is to follow very soon.

What’s more, with the TC7210 and TC7230 Technicolor continues to introduce Qeo & new value-added apps such as Broadpeak NanoCDN, Wi-Fi Doctor® and JDSU Spectrum Analyzer to its cable gateway range.

To lower operators’ TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) considerably, the MediaAccess TC72xx series offers the JDSU advanced spectrum analyzer feature for debugging and fixing the R/F network.

Currently in field trial at several customers, both certified products have the potential to match the success of its established sibling, the flexible TC7200.
