Experiencing life on Mars just got a lot closer. One of the most innovative VR projects currently being taken on by the Technicolor Experience Center (TEC) is Mars Home Planet, led by TEC partners HP and NVIDIA. Based on actual NASA research and footage of the Mars surface, the VR experience will come to life not as Mars appears today, but as a viable colony that has undergone city planning and includes structures and transportation to support a million Martian citizens.

As Brian Frager, Lead VR/AR Experience Producer at the TEC, explains in this interview, the TEC is bringing together the creative community of artists, technologists, designers, and engineers – and supporting the project through all phases of concept, modeling, and development – to create a truly out-of-this-world interactive, immersive experience.
