From May 31 – June 3 2016, CommunicAsia 2016 was held across three levels of the Marina Bay Sands convention center in Singapore. The event is Asia’s largest integrated info-communications technology gathering and welcomed more than 30,000 international attendees who presented advanced products and solutions across the entire ICT value chain.
Technicolor presented its leading-edge solutions for connectivity excellence and an immersive digital experience. Under the “Always Architecting Amazement” flagship message, Technicolor demonstrated a range of innovative products and solutions, from content creation to distribution and consumption.
The key highlights of Technicolor’s demonstration suite:
Visitors recognized Technicolor’s leadership positon and open approach to HDR solutions development and deployment. This demo illustrated how service providers can deliver a high-quality HDR experience while continuing to serve customers with SDR set-top boxes. Visitors also learned how Intelligent Tone Management (ITM) technology helps breathe new life into existing digital content.
Clients evolving towards multi-screen, multi-platform OTT services were delighted with the readiness of Technicolor’s Android TV solution. The demo highlighted benefits of Technicolor’s turnkey solution for service providers, including shorter time to market and beautiful hardware design.
Clients expressed great interest in this innovative tool. Many discussed operators’ need to manage the end-user Wi-Fi experience. The demo showed how operators could enhance services by resolving Wi-Fi issues remotely, reducing helpdesk calls and better understanding user needs.
This demo highlighted how Technicolor’s next generation DOCSIS 3.1 modems and gateways can deliver best-in-class upstream/downstream performance. Technicolor is among the first worldwide to deliver products based on the emerging DOCSIS 3.1 cable standard.
