Technicolor enriches its MediaAccess communications offering for SMEs

The Group proposes an integrated business solution gathering IP phone & gateway

Paris (France), 20 October 2011 – At the occasion of IP Convergence (Paris, 18-20 October, Pavillon 4 / Booth I34), Technicolor (Euronext Paris: TCH) will showcase a cost-effective, integrated solution which meets smaller and growing businesses’ need for unified enterprise-grade voice and data communications.

Part of Technicolor’s MediaAccess product range, which gathers next-generation advanced service gateways, the solution includes a new entry-level VoIP phone1 , providing back lighted display and onboard advanced telephony services in a user friendly and intuitive way. With two fast Ethernet ports including Power over Ethernet capability, it also enables flexible connectivity. This new VoIP phone joins the existing range of Technicolor business IP phones2 , the market reference SIP alternative to proprietary IP Phone vendors, equipped with USB port and Bluetooth headset support, and designed for outstanding acoustic performance with the HD sound capability.

Core of the solution is Technicolor’s secure ultra-broadband business gateway3. It provides a single point of access for wired & wireless data and VoIP telephony, managed with the license free onboard SIP server. Security is ensured through a powerful stateful packet inspection firewall and license free onboard VPN/IPSec tunnelling, while business continuity is guaranteed through the 3G backup support. Separate managed networks for employees and visitors can be set up over high-speed Wi-Fi as well as gigabit ethernet. Networked storage and printing are supported through the two USB ports.

This integrated business solution is ideal for office environments up to 50 users and brings security, redundancy, robustness and remote management in a transparent and license free pricing model. It yields no technology lock in and offers wide interoperability with the major device vendors.

Underlining Technicolor’s commitment to best environmental practices, all these devices are fully compliant with the latest European code of conduct on energy consumption (CoC 3.0).
