Technicolor keeps viewers guessing in What Remains

Technicolor has provided a range of post-production services for What Remains, a four-part original drama series made by BBC Drama Production for BBC One.

Technicolor credits include Senior Colourist Dan Coles; Richard Cradick for VFX and online editing; sound re-recording mixer Richard Straker; Foley and ADR were the responsibility of Adam Mendez and David Sendall.

The contemporary murder mystery is written by Tony Basgallop (Inside Men, Worried About the Boy) and directed by Coky Giedroyc (Spies of Warsaw, The Hour). Hilary Salmon was the executive producer for the BBC; Grainne Marmion, Producer; and Zac Nicholson the Director of Photography.

The series stars David Threlfall, in his first post-Shameless starring role, as a detective on the verge of retirement. His final case is to find the murderer of a young woman whose body has lain undiscovered for two years in the loft of a South London mansion. Each of the victim’s dysfunctional former neighbours, played by some of Britain’s finest acting talent, including Russell Tovey, Steven Mackintosh and Indira Varma, has their own secrets and each is a potential suspect. As Threfall’s lonely DI becomes increasingly drawn into the case, it becomes a personal quest for justice. 

The first of four episodes of What Remains airs on BBC One at 9pm on Sunday 25 October.
