The countdown to the 69th Emmy Awards® has begun! With the five Emmy® nominations, the 2017 awards season is off to a strong start for Technicolor artists.
Technicolor Sound talent received three of those nominations, for Outstanding Sound Editing and Outstanding Sound Mixing on the hit Netflix series Stranger Things, and another for Outstanding Sound Editing on American Horror Story: Roanoke, the latest chapter in Ryan Murphy’s eerie anthology series on FX Networks. The nominations come on the heels of Technicolor Sound winning the Emmy last year for Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Limited Series or Movie, for their work on Murphy’s highly-acclaimed The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.
Mr. X, is also in the running for two Emmy® awards this year: one for Outstanding Special Visual Effects on the Vikings, and another for VFX Supervisor James Cooper and his work on American Gods.
The 69th Annual Primetime Emmy® Awards airs September 17, 2017, with host Stephen Colbert, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
