Technicolor’s DOCSIS 3.1 Devices are in the Spotlight at ANGA COM 2016

Technicolor was on hand to demonstrate its DOCSIS 3.1 devices at ANGA COM 2016.

From June 7 to 9th, Technicolor displayed its new range of DOCSIS 3.1 devices at partner booths at ANGA COM 2016 in Cologne, Germany. One of the leading European exhibitions for broadband, cable, and satellite, ANGA COM was a highly trafficked event with 450 exhibitors and 18,000+ participants from 98 countries.

Cisco Systems and Unitymedia GmbH presented on their respective booth, a live DOCSIS 3.1 demonstration using Technicolor’s cable modems. Based on Technicolor’s TC4400 modem and Cisco’s CBR8 CMTS, the live DOCSIS 3.1 speed test presented up to 2 Gbit/s downstream throughout the demonstrations. Journalists and visitors arrived in force at Unity Media’s booth to experience the future of surfing and streaming at Gigabit speeds.

At the booth of Technicolor’s authorized partner, Normann Engineering, Technicolor presented a static display of both TC4400 data modems and the next-generation CGM4230 eMTA gateway family that should be ready for mass production before the year’s end.

Technicolor was the clear partner of choice for the DOCSIS 3.1 modems & gateways range at the event since Technicolor proactively supports Comcast in itsearly DOCSIS 3.1 rollout strategy for gigabit home Internet service with the TC4400 modem, one of the first DOCSIS 3.1 deployed devices worldwide.

Outside of the main exhibition hall, Technicolor, in partnership with Philips, displayed a vibrant High Dynamic Range (HDR) demonstration with the Advanced HDR by Technicolor technology.
