Technicolor Talent Earn Six Emmy Nominations for Sound – and a Win for Their Work on Stranger Things (Again!)

Beating out last year’s exciting nominations, multiple Technicolor Sound teams are nominated once again for Outstanding Sound Mixing and Outstanding Sound Editing.

The Technicolor Sound team has won television’s top honor, taking home a 2018 Creative Arts Emmy Award for “Outstanding Sound Editing for a Comedy or Drama Series.” This marks the fourth year in a row that Technicolor teams have won in the sound category, and the second year that they have won for Netflix’s retro hit series, Stranger Things. The win caps another strong Emmy showing for Technicolor artists, who had six direct nominations on top of their work across many other award-winning or nominated shows.

Said Kevin Spears, VP, Head of US Sound, “The number of Emmy nominations speaks volumes about the overall quality of work our Technicolor episodic teams completed this past year. Such an amazing showing demonstrates our strong and continued success in episodic sound, and we are extremely happy that the Television Academy has recognized our talent behind some of the most popular and critically-acclaimed shows.”

Congratulations to the following team members for their Emmy win, and to all the nominated Technicolor talent and creative partners.
