I am a senior scientist at Technicolor Research & Innovation France. I received PhD degree from Rennes University and joined Thomson in 1986 as a research engineer.
My main activities have concerned the development of algorithms of image sequence processing in particular motion estimation and frame interpolation, detection, segmentation and tracking of objects, color correction, inpainting, shape from motion. They have also concerned stereo, multiview and multisensor processing and fusion for 3D reconstruction and modeling, and 2D to 3D conversion. More recently, I have addressed the use of RGBD sensors for 3D reconstruction and the photometric analysis of the 3D scenes, i.e. estimation of lighting and diffuse/specular reflectance parameters.
These techniques have been developed in the context of various applications including : videophone coding, HDTV standard conversion, de-flickering, logo removal, traffic surveillance, navigation in 3D models of real scenes, 3D TV and 3D content creation. I contributed to several European projects in video and 3D processing in the past. Recently, applications of video editing and mixed reality for the entertainment domain have been addressed.
I am author or co-author of 50 papers and about 80 patents.
