Scott Gershin

Supervising Sound Editor and Mixer

Technicolor Los Angeles Sound Editors

Scott Gershin is Director of Editorial at Technicolor and leads The Sound Lab team.

He has taken audiences on immersive journeys for three decades on films such as 'Nightcrawler', 'Pacific Rim', 'Hellboy 2', 'Star Trek' and 'American Beauty' and games like 'Doom' (2016), 'Epic Mickey', 'Gears of War', 'Resident Evil' and 'Fable’. Scott was Founder and Executive Creative Director of Soundelux Design Music Group and Executive Creative Director / Supervising Sound Designer and Mixer at Formosa Group and has been recognized multiple times by MPSE, GANG, NAMM Foundation, BAFTA, DICE, and The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Scott embraced technology early in his career to better help tell stories through audio and pioneered the use of computers to edit and design sound against picture.  As an "audio photographer", Scott captures the sounds of life and manipulates them in new and exciting ways to bring the director's vision to life. Little did he know that the sound effects and creature noises he made with his mouth as a kid would lead him into a career doing just that.
