MR. X (MPC) wins Canadian Screen Award for Best Visual Effects in a TV Program for Vikings


Mr X wins VES Award for Outstanding Supporting Visual Effects in a Photoreal Episode for Vikings.

The awards season honors talent, Technicolor’s clients and its own, for creating great stories.  Always empowering storytellers, today’s visual effects represent the perfect harmony of creative artists and innovative technologies to bring these memorable experiences to life.  Technicolor’s visual effects studios are proud to have received 18 nominations and 5 wins at the 14th Annual Visual Effects Society Awards.

The Visual Effects Society (VES) is a global professional honorary society and the entertainment industry’s only organization representing the full breadth of visual effects practitioners including artists, technologists, model makers, educators, studio executives, supervisors, PR/marketing specialists and producers. VES’ over 3,000 members in more than 30 countries worldwide contribute to all areas of entertainment – film, television, commercials, animation, music videos, games and new media.

Mr. X (now MPC) started the night off on a high note, taking home the first award of the evening in “Outstanding Supporting Visual Effects in a Photoreal Episode” for their work on Vikings; To the Gates.
