Describe your time here in 3 words?

Innovative, collaborative, a half of my life 🙂

What was the first project you worked on/can remember being released when you joined?

Nickelodeon’s : Back at the barnyard. A very fun project and it was my introduction to a studio work environment.

Your favorite character would have to be…

Timon & Pumba, or King Julian. For their comedic chemistry and humorous catchphrases.

In one sentence, what does a concept artist supervisor do?

A concept art supervisor at Technicolor Games leads and guides a team of concept artists to create visual designs for our clients. In addition, the concept art supervisor acts as a link between the concept art team, the art director, and the clients. But I mostly brew coffee and play with Legos.

What is the most rewarding thing about being at Technicolor Creative Studios?

Working with incredibly talented artists who inspire you everyday, bringing characters and worlds to life, and seeing players enjoy and immerse themselves in the game you helped create.

What’s the most recent project you’ve worked on?

Rainbow six Extraction from Ubisoft

Your most “eureka” moment during your career?

When I switched to the matte painting team from the lighting and compositing team, and then from there to the concept art team. Each step brought me closer to art and marked a significant change for me. I believe it is what kept me going for more than 15 years, and I still get as excited about things today as I did on day one.

Your DREAM project would involve…

Creating Color-keys and production design for a movie.

Any recent personal goals?

Your favorite game?

It can’t be just one. As a child of the 1990s, I loved the Super Mario series, Street Fighter, Contra, Quake, Mortal Kombat, Tekken, Doom, Counter Strike, Need for Speed, and of course GTA.

When you’re not working on a project you can be found.

When I’m not working on a project, I’m either riding my motorcycle, brewing coffee, or sketching with my daughter.

What would your one superpower be if you could choose?

If I could freeze the time to draw everything I see. Maybe that’s why I love photography so much — so I can capture that fleeting moment

Share something you learned this week

I finally understand how to propagate succulents. It has to do with my other hobby, gardening. Currently, there are 55 to 60 plants in my apartment.

My home studio and my gadgets are every artist’s dream.

If you could give one piece of advice to our next generation of talent, what would it be?

Develop your skills continuously, and create a solid portfolio. Also, it’s essential to keep up with the most recent innovations, trends, and advancements in this creative industry. Learn the rules like a pro so you can break them like an artist, as Picasso once said
